महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-48, verse-6

तस्याश्वान्गदया हत्वा तथोभौ पार्ष्णिसारथी ।
शराचिताङ्गः सौभद्रः श्वाविद्वत्प्रत्यदृश्यत ॥६॥
6. tasyāśvāngadayā hatvā tathobhau pārṣṇisārathī ,
śarācitāṅgaḥ saubhadraḥ śvāvidvatpratyadṛśyata.
6. tasya aśvān gadayā hatvā tathā ubhau pārṣṇisārathī
śarācitāṅgaḥ saubhadraḥ śvāvid vat pratyadṛśyata
6. सौभद्रः तस्य अश्वान् गदया हत्वा तथा उभौ पार्ष्णिसारथी
च (हत्वा) शराचिताङ्गः श्वाविद्वत् प्रत्यदृश्यत
6. Having struck down his horses with a mace, and similarly both the rear charioteers, Abhimanyu, his body covered with arrows, appeared like a porcupine.
