महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-48, verse-36

युद्धे ह्याशीविषाकारान्राजपुत्रान्रणे बहून् ।
पूर्वं निहत्य संग्रामे पश्चादार्जुनिरन्वगात् ॥३६॥
36. yuddhe hyāśīviṣākārānrājaputrānraṇe bahūn ,
pūrvaṁ nihatya saṁgrāme paścādārjuniranvagāt.

pūrvam nihatya saṃgrāme paścāt arjuniḥ anvagāt

36. Indeed, in battle, having first slain many princes in combat, who were like venomous snakes (in their ferocity), the son of Arjuna (Abhimanyu) then followed them (to the heavenly abodes).
