महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-48, verse-41

ततो निशाया दिवसस्य चाशिवः शिवारुतः संधिरवर्तताद्भुतः ।
कुशेशयापीडनिभे दिवाकरे विलम्बमानेऽस्तमुपेत्य पर्वतम् ॥४१॥
41. tato niśāyā divasasya cāśivaḥ; śivārutaḥ saṁdhiravartatādbhutaḥ ,
kuśeśayāpīḍanibhe divākare; vilambamāne'stamupetya parvatam.
41. tataḥ niśāyāḥ divasasya ca aśivaḥ
śivārutaḥ sandhiḥ avartata
adbhutaḥ kuśeśayāpīḍanibhe divākare
vilambamāne astam upetya parvatam
41. tataḥ niśāyāḥ ca divasasya aśivaḥ

41. Then, an astonishing and inauspicious junction (sandhi) between night and day occurred, marked by the cries of jackals, as the sun, resembling a lotus ornament, lingered, having reached the setting mountain.
