महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-48, verse-45

रथाश्ववृन्दैः सहसादिभिर्हतैः प्रविद्धभाण्डाभरणैः पृथग्विधैः ।
निरस्तजिह्वादशनान्त्रलोचनैर्धरा बभौ घोरविरूपदर्शना ॥४५॥

45. The earth, with its dreadful and disfigured appearance, was illuminated by the slain multitudes of chariots and horses, along with their riders, by various kinds of scattered belongings and ornaments, and by (bodies) with tongues, teeth, intestines, and eyes cast out.
