निरीक्षमाणास्तु वयं परे चायोधनं शनैः ।
अपयाता महाराज ग्लानिं प्राप्ता विचेतसः ॥४०॥

40. nirīkṣamāṇāstu vayaṁ pare cāyodhanaṁ śanaiḥ ,

40. O great king, as we observed the battlefield, we, along with the others, slowly withdrew, having succumbed to weariness and confusion.
