महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-48, verse-53

अपेतविध्वस्तमहार्हभूषणं निपातितं शक्रसमं महारथम् ।
रणेऽभिमन्युं ददृशुस्तदा जना व्यपोढहव्यं सदसीव पावकम् ॥५३॥
53. apetavidhvastamahārhabhūṣaṇaṁ; nipātitaṁ śakrasamaṁ mahāratham ,
raṇe'bhimanyuṁ dadṛśustadā janā; vyapoḍhahavyaṁ sadasīva pāvakam.
53. apeta-vidhvasta-mahā-arha-bhūṣaṇam
nipātitam śakra-samam mahā-ratham
raṇe abhimanyum dadṛśuḥ tadā janāḥ
vyapoḍha-havyam sadasi iva pāvakam
53. tadā janāḥ raṇe apeta-vidhvasta-mahā-arha-bhūṣaṇam nipātitam śakra-samam mahā-ratham abhimanyum sadasi vyapoḍha-havyam pāvakam iva dadṛśuḥ.
53. Then, on the battlefield, people saw Abhimanyu, the great warrior (mahāratha), who was struck down, equal to Indra, and whose precious ornaments were gone and shattered, like a sacrificial fire (pāvaka) in an assembly hall (sadhas) from which oblations (havya) have been removed.
