वृकस्तु परमक्रुद्धो द्रोणं षष्ट्या स्तनान्तरे ।
विव्याध बलवान्राजंस्तदद्भुतमिवाभवत् ॥९॥

9. vṛkastu paramakruddho droṇaṁ ṣaṣṭyā stanāntare ,
vivyādha balavānrājaṁstadadbhutamivābhavat.

vivyādha balavān rājan tat adbhutam iva abhavat

9. rājan,
tu paramakruddhaḥ balavān vṛkaḥ ṣaṣṭyā droṇam stanāntare vivyādha; tat अद्भुतम् इव अभवत्

9. But the powerful Vṛka, extremely enraged, O King, pierced Drona in the chest with sixty arrows; that was indeed astonishing.
