महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-20, verse-48

तस्मिन्हते राजपुत्रे पाञ्चालानां यशस्करे ।
हत द्रोणं हत द्रोणमित्यासीत्तुमुलं महत् ॥४८॥
48. tasminhate rājaputre pāñcālānāṁ yaśaskare ,
hata droṇaṁ hata droṇamityāsīttumulaṁ mahat.
48. tasmin hate rāja-putre pāñcālānām yaśas-kare |
hata droṇam hata droṇam iti āsīt tumulam mahat
48. tasmin rāja-putre pāñcālānām yaśas-kare hate,
hata droṇam hata droṇam iti mahat tumulam āsīt.
48. When that prince, who brought glory to the Panchalas, was slain, there arose a great uproar (tumula) with shouts of "Drona is killed! Drona is killed!"
