महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-167, verse-35

स सत्यकञ्चुकं नाम प्रविष्टेन ततोऽनृतम् ।
आचार्य उक्तो भवता हतः कुञ्जर इत्युत ॥३५॥
35. sa satyakañcukaṁ nāma praviṣṭena tato'nṛtam ,
ācārya ukto bhavatā hataḥ kuñjara ityuta.
35. saḥ satya-kañcukam nāma praviṣṭena tataḥ anṛtam
ācāryaḥ uktaḥ bhavatā hataḥ kuñjaraḥ iti uta
35. tataḥ saḥ satya-kañcukam nāma anṛtam praviṣṭena
bhavatā ācāryaḥ "kuñjaraḥ hataḥ" iti uta uktaḥ
35. Then, having used a falsehood (anṛtam) named 'the cloak of truth' (satya-kañcukam), you informed the teacher (Droṇa), 'The elephant (kuñjaraḥ) is killed' – thus indeed was it said.
