महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-167, verse-14

गजस्कन्धेषु संस्यूता नाराचैश्चलितासनाः ।
शरार्तैर्विद्रुतैर्नागैर्हृताः केचिद्दिशो दश ॥१४॥
14. gajaskandheṣu saṁsyūtā nārācaiścalitāsanāḥ ,
śarārtairvidrutairnāgairhṛtāḥ keciddiśo daśa.

śarārtaiḥ vidrutaiḥ nāgaiḥ hṛtāḥ kecit diśaḥ daśa

14. Some, impaled by arrows while seated on the elephants' backs, had their seats dislodged. Others were carried away in all ten directions by elephants fleeing in distress from arrows.
