युद्धं मदन्तमेवास्तु तात संशाम्य पाण्डवैः ।
एतत्ते रोचतां वाक्यं यदुक्तोऽसि मयानघ ।
एतत्क्षेममहं मन्ये तव चैव कुलस्य च ॥४६॥
46. yuddhaṁ madantamevāstu tāta saṁśāmya pāṇḍavaiḥ ,
etatte rocatāṁ vākyaṁ yadukto'si mayānagha ,
etatkṣemamahaṁ manye tava caiva kulasya ca.
46. yuddham madantam eva astu tāta saṃśāmya
pāṇḍavaiḥ etat te rocatām vākyam
yat uktaḥ asi mayā anagha etat kṣemam

46. tāta yuddham madantam eva astu,

46. Dear one, let this war indeed end with me, so make peace with the Pāṇḍavas. O sinless one, let this statement which I have spoken to you be agreeable. I consider this to be for your welfare and for that of your family.
