महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-116, verse-43

यावत्तिष्ठन्ति समरे हतशेषाः सहोदराः ।
नृपाश्च बहवो राजंस्तावत्संधिः प्रयुज्यताम् ॥४३॥
43. yāvattiṣṭhanti samare hataśeṣāḥ sahodarāḥ ,
nṛpāśca bahavo rājaṁstāvatsaṁdhiḥ prayujyatām.

nṛpāḥ ca bahavaḥ rājan tāvat sandhiḥ prayujyatām

43. O King, as long as your remaining brothers and many other kings still stand in battle, until then, let a peace treaty (sandhi) be established.
