अमानुषाणि कर्माणि यस्यैतानि महात्मनः ।
तेन सत्त्ववता संख्ये शूरेणाहवशोभिना ।
कृतिना समरे राजन्संधिस्ते तात युज्यताम् ॥४०॥
40. amānuṣāṇi karmāṇi yasyaitāni mahātmanaḥ ,
tena sattvavatā saṁkhye śūreṇāhavaśobhinā ,
kṛtinā samare rājansaṁdhiste tāta yujyatām.

mahātmanaḥ tena sattvavatā saṃkhye
śūreṇa āhavanaśobhinā kṛtinā
samare rājan sandhiḥ te tāta yujyatām
40. rājan tāta yasya mahātmanaḥ etāni

40. O King, since these superhuman deeds (karma) belong to that great-souled one, therefore, O dear one, let a peace treaty (sandhi) be made with him—that heroic, valorous, and accomplished one who shines brilliantly in battle.
