महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-267, verse-30

अहं त्विमं जलनिधिं समारप्स्याम्युपायतः ।
प्रतिशेष्याम्युपवसन्दर्शयिष्यति मां ततः ॥३०॥

30. ahaṁ tvimaṁ jalanidhiṁ samārapsyāmyupāyataḥ ,
pratiśeṣyāmyupavasandarśayiṣyati māṁ tataḥ.

30. aham tu imam jalanidhim samārapsyāmi upāyataḥ
pratiśeṣyāmi upavasan darśayiṣyati mām tataḥ

30. But I will approach this ocean by appropriate means. I will lie down [on its shore], observing a fast (tapas), and then it will reveal a way to me.
