महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-213, verse-46

नैताः शक्या मया द्रष्टुं स्प्रष्टुं वाप्यनिमित्ततः ।
गार्हपत्यं समाविश्य तस्मात्पश्याम्यभीक्ष्णशः ॥४६॥
46. naitāḥ śakyā mayā draṣṭuṁ spraṣṭuṁ vāpyanimittataḥ ,
gārhapatyaṁ samāviśya tasmātpaśyāmyabhīkṣṇaśaḥ.
46. na etāḥ śakyāḥ mayā draṣṭum spraṣṭum vā api a-nimitta-taḥ
gārhapatyam samāviśya tasmāt paśyāmi abhīkṣṇaśaḥ
46. It is not possible for me to see or even touch these women without a valid pretext. Therefore, I will constantly see them by entering into the domestic fire (gārhapatya).
