महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-83, verse-33

विपाप्मापि स तेजस्वी तेन क्रतुफलेन वै ।
नैवात्मनोऽथ लघुतां जामदग्न्योऽभ्यगच्छत ॥३३॥
33. vipāpmāpi sa tejasvī tena kratuphalena vai ,
naivātmano'tha laghutāṁ jāmadagnyo'bhyagacchata.

33. Indeed, even though he, glorious and freed from sin by the fruit of that (Vedic) ritual (yajña), the son of Jamadagni (Jāmadagnya), did not then experience any diminution of his own inner self (ātman).
