ततोऽहं तदनादृत्य पितुर्हस्तनिदर्शनम् ।

19. Therefore, O king (pārthiva), disregarding that demonstration involving my father's hand, I instead recalled the subtle method (vidhi) based on scriptural authority (śāstra-pramāṇa).
