महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-127, verse-51

ततस्तामब्रवीद्देवः सुभगे श्रूयतामिति ।
हेतुभिर्यैर्ममैतानि रूपाणि रुचिरानने ॥५१॥
51. tatastāmabravīddevaḥ subhage śrūyatāmiti ,
hetubhiryairmamaitāni rūpāṇi rucirānane.
51. tataḥ tām abravīt devaḥ subhage śrūyatām iti
hetubhiḥ yaiḥ mama etāni rūpāṇi rucirānane
51. Then the God spoke to her: 'O beautiful one (subhage), please listen to the reasons by which these forms of mine (exist), O lovely-faced one (rucirānanā).'
