महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-99, verse-9

तमहं शापभीता च पितुर्भीता च भारत ।
वरैरसुलभैरुक्ता न प्रत्याख्यातुमुत्सहे ॥९॥
9. tamahaṁ śāpabhītā ca piturbhītā ca bhārata ,
varairasulabhairuktā na pratyākhyātumutsahe.
9. tam aham śāpabhītā ca pituḥ bhītā ca bhārata
varaiḥ asulabhaiḥ uktā na pratyākhyātum utsahe
9. O Bhārata, I was afraid of a curse and also afraid of my father. Promised such rare boons, I did not dare to refuse him.
