महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-58, verse-5

तदा निःक्षत्रिये लोके भार्गवेण कृते सति ।
ब्राह्मणान्क्षत्रिया राजन्गर्भार्थिन्योऽभिचक्रमुः ॥५॥

5. tadā niḥkṣatriye loke bhārgaveṇa kṛte sati ,
brāhmaṇānkṣatriyā rājangarbhārthinyo'bhicakramuḥ.

5. tadā niḥkṣatriye loke bhārgaveṇa kṛte sati brāhmaṇān
kṣatriyāḥ rājan garbhārthinyaḥ abhicakramuḥ

5. O King, at that time, when Bhargava (Paraśurāma) had rendered the world devoid of Kṣatriyas, Kṣatriya women, desirous of offspring, approached the Brāhmaṇas.

5. אז, כאשר בְּהָארְגַוַה (פַּרַשׁוּרָאמַה) הותיר את העולם ללא לוחמים, הו מלך, נשים ממעמד הלוחמים, שחפצו להרות, פנו אל הבְּרַהְמִינים.
