महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-58, verse-26

आदित्यैर्हि तदा दैत्या बहुशो निर्जिता युधि ।
ऐश्वर्याद्भ्रंशिताश्चापि संबभूवुः क्षिताविह ॥२६॥

26. ādityairhi tadā daityā bahuśo nirjitā yudhi ,
aiśvaryādbhraṁśitāścāpi saṁbabhūvuḥ kṣitāviha.

26. Indeed, at that time, the Daityas, having been frequently defeated in battle by the Ādityas and also deprived of their sovereignty, were born here on earth.
