महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-58, verse-17

ईजिरे च महायज्ञैः क्षत्रिया बहुदक्षिणैः ।
साङ्गोपनिषदान्वेदान्विप्राश्चाधीयते तदा ॥१७॥
17. ījire ca mahāyajñaiḥ kṣatriyā bahudakṣiṇaiḥ ,
sāṅgopaniṣadānvedānviprāścādhīyate tadā.

sāṅgopaniṣadān vedān viprāḥ ca adhīyate tadā
17. And at that time, kṣatriyas performed great sacrifices accompanied by many generous gifts, while brahmins studied the Vedas along with their auxiliary sciences and the Upaniṣads.
