महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-58, verse-45

इत्युक्त्वा स महीं देवो ब्रह्मा राजन्विसृज्य च ।
आदिदेश तदा सर्वान्विबुधान्भूतकृत्स्वयम् ॥४५॥
45. ityuktvā sa mahīṁ devo brahmā rājanvisṛjya ca ,
ādideśa tadā sarvānvibudhānbhūtakṛtsvayam.
45. iti uktvā sa mahīm devaḥ brahmā rājan visṛjya
ca ādiśat tadā sarvān vibudhān bhūtakṛt svayam
45. Having said this, O King, that divine Brahmā, the creator of beings, himself dismissed the Earth and then commanded all the gods.
