महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-189, verse-41

व्यास उवाच ।
आसीत्तपोवने काचिदृषेः कन्या महात्मनः ।
नाध्यगच्छत्पतिं सा तु कन्या रूपवती सती ॥४१॥
41. vyāsa uvāca ,
āsīttapovane kācidṛṣeḥ kanyā mahātmanaḥ ,
nādhyagacchatpatiṁ sā tu kanyā rūpavatī satī.
41. vyāsaḥ uvāca āsīt tapovane kācit ṛṣeḥ kanyā mahātmanaḥ
na adhyagacchat patim sā tu kanyā rūpavatī satī
41. Vyāsa spoke: There was a certain daughter of a great-souled sage residing in a hermitage (tapas). However, that maiden, despite being beautiful, had not found a husband.
