स तद्दृष्ट्वा महदाश्चर्यरूपं जग्राह पादौ सत्यवत्याः सुतस्य ।
नैतच्चित्रं परमर्षे त्वयीति प्रसन्नचेताः स उवाच चैनम् ॥४०॥

na etat citram paramarṣe tvayi iti
prasanna-cetāḥ saḥ uvāca ca enam

40. Having witnessed that greatly wondrous form, he clasped the feet of Satyavatī's son (Vyāsa). With a cheerful heart, he then said to him, "O great sage, this is no surprise in you."

40. כשראה את הפלא הגדול הזה, אחז ברגליו של בנה של סַטְיַוַטִי ואמר לו ברוח שלווה, הו חוזה נעלה, אין בזה דבר מוזר מצדך.
