महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-189, verse-1

व्यास उवाच ।
पुरा वै नैमिषारण्ये देवाः सत्रमुपासते ।
तत्र वैवस्वतो राजञ्शामित्रमकरोत्तदा ॥१॥
1. vyāsa uvāca ,
purā vai naimiṣāraṇye devāḥ satramupāsate ,
tatra vaivasvato rājañśāmitramakarottadā.

1. Vyāsa said: In ancient times, indeed, in Naimiṣāraṇya, the gods performed a sacrificial session (satra). There, O King, Vaivasvata performed the śāmitra ritual at that time.
