योगवासिष्ठः yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-73, verse-40

कारणं सर्वकार्याणां नेता कालक्रियादिषु ।
सर्वाद्यः पुरुषः स्वैरमित्यनुत्थित उत्थितः ॥ ४० ॥

kāraṇaṃ sarvakāryāṇāṃ netā kālakriyādiṣu ,
sarvādyaḥ puruṣaḥ svairamityanutthita utthitaḥ 40

40. He is the cause of all effects, the leader in time and actions, the primal (puruṣa) of all. Though unmanifest, he spontaneously manifests himself.
