महेश्वराणां सिद्धानां जीवन्मुक्तशरीरिणाम् ।
न क्रियानियमोऽस्तीह स ह्यज्ञस्यैव कल्पितः ॥ ८ ॥

Śrī Vasiṣṭha said: For great lords, perfected beings, and those embodied ones who are liberated while living (jīvanmukta), there is no rule of action in this context. For that (rule) is indeed prescribed only for the ignorant.
