योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-5, chapter-45, verse-4

शनैः पक्वतया काले प्रसूतं मेचकच्छविम् ।
श्वपच्या प्रावृषेवाब्दं श्याममावलितं मलैः ॥ ४ ॥
śanaiḥ pakvatayā kāle prasūtaṃ mecakacchavim ,
śvapacyā prāvṛṣevābdaṃ śyāmamāvalitaṃ malaiḥ 4
4. śanaiḥ pakvatayā kāle prasūtam mecakacchavim
śvapacya prāvṛṣā iva abdam śyāmam āvalitam malaiḥ
4. (He saw his self) gradually, having matured in due course, born by the dog-eater woman (śvapacī), possessing a dark complexion, dark, and covered with impurities, just like a cloud (abdam) is darkened by the rainy season (prāvṛṣā).
