योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-5, chapter-45, verse-23

दिनानि कतिचित्तत्र नीत्वा शोकपरीतधीः ।
जहौ स्वदेशं संशुष्कपद्मं सर इवाण्डजः ॥ २३ ॥
dināni katicittatra nītvā śokaparītadhīḥ ,
jahau svadeśaṃ saṃśuṣkapadmaṃ sara ivāṇḍajaḥ 23
23. dināni katicit tatra nītvā śoka-parīta-dhīḥ |
jahau sva-deśam sam-śuṣka-padmam saraḥ iva aṇḍajaḥ
23. śoka-parīta-dhīḥ katicit dināni tatra nītvā sva-deśam
jahau yathā aṇḍajaḥ sam-śuṣka-padmam saraḥ iva
23. Having spent a few days there, his intellect overcome by grief, he abandoned his homeland, just as a bird abandons a lake with withered lotuses.
