अथापश्यदसौ गाधिः स्वाधिपीवरया धिया ।
अन्तर्जलस्थ एवान्तरात्मनात्मनि निर्मले ॥ १ ॥

Śrī Vasiṣṭha said: Then, Gādhi, while still submerged underwater, perceived with his own exceptionally keen intellect, within his pure inner self (ātman), through his inner consciousness (antarātman).
