योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-3, chapter-17, verse-8

किं स्मृतास्मि त्वया वत्से धत्से किमिति शोकिताम् ।
संसारभ्रान्तयो भान्ति मृगतृष्णाम्बुवत्तधा ॥ ८ ॥
kiṃ smṛtāsmi tvayā vatse dhatse kimiti śokitām ,
saṃsārabhrāntayo bhānti mṛgatṛṣṇāmbuvattadhā 8
8. kim smṛtā asmi tvayā vatse dhatse kim iti śokitām
saṃsāra-bhrāntayaḥ bhānti mṛga-tṛṣṇā-ambu-vat tathā
8. vatse,
kim tvayā smṛtā asmi? kim iti śokitām dhatse? tathā saṃsāra-bhrāntayaḥ mṛga-tṛṣṇā-ambu-vat bhānti.
8. (Jñapti said:) "O child, why have you remembered me? Why do you hold onto sorrow? The delusions of transmigration (saṃsāra) always appear like water in a mirage."
