योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-3, chapter-107, verse-32

कल्पे जगत्सुनाशार्थं कृतान्तेनेव पाशिना ।
पीतं बहूपवासेन सद्यःकृत्तमृगोरसः ॥ ३२ ॥
kalpe jagatsunāśārthaṃ kṛtānteneva pāśinā ,
pītaṃ bahūpavāsena sadyaḥkṛttamṛgorasaḥ 32

32. The fresh-cut blood from the deer's chest was drunk by him (the hunter), who had endured much fasting, just as Kritānta (Yama), holding his noose, would consume for the complete destruction of the world at the end of a cosmic cycle (kalpa).
