योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-2, chapter-14, verse-49

स्वयमेवात्मनात्मानमवष्टभ्य विचारतः ।
संसारमोहजलधेस्तारयेत्स्वमनोमृगम् ॥ ४९ ॥
svayamevātmanātmānamavaṣṭabhya vicārataḥ ,
saṃsāramohajaladhestārayetsvamanomṛgam 49
49. svayam eva ātmanā ātmānam avaṣṭabhya vicārataḥ
saṃsāra-moha-jaladheḥ tārayet svamanomṛgam
49. svayam eva ātmanā ātmānam vicārataḥ avaṣṭabhya,
saṃsāra-moha-jaladheḥ svamanomṛgam tārayet.
49. One should, by oneself, through the self (ātman) and by means of discrimination (vicāra), restrain one's mind, which is like a deer, and enable it to cross the ocean of delusion (moha) that is the cycle of rebirth (saṃsāra).
