वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-5, chapter-36, verse-53

प्रतिगृह्य ततो वीरो मणिरत्नमनुत्तमम् ।
अङ्गुल्या योजयामास न ह्यस्या प्राभवद्भुजः ॥५३॥
53. pratigṛhya tato vīro maṇiratnamanuttamam ,
aṅgulyā yojayāmāsa na hyasyā prābhavadbhujaḥ.
53. pratigṛhya tataḥ vīraḥ maṇiratnam anuttamam
aṅgulyā yojayāmāsa na hi asyā prābhavat bhujaḥ
53. Then the hero (Hanumān), having received that unsurpassed jewel-gem, tried to place it on his finger, but indeed his arm was not capable (of accommodating it).
