वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-5, chapter-36, verse-16

ततो मांससमायुक्तो वायसः पर्यतुण्डयत् ।
तमहं लोष्टमुद्यम्य वारयामि स्म वायसं ॥१६॥
16. tato māṃsasamāyukto vāyasaḥ paryatuṇḍayat ,
tamahaṃ loṣṭamudyamya vārayāmi sma vāyasaṃ.

16. Then a crow, having obtained some meat, began to peck at it. I, lifting a clod of earth, attempted to ward off that crow.
