वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-2, chapter-95, verse-20

सान्त्वयित्वा तु तां रामो रुदन्तीं जनकात्मजाम् ।
उवाच लक्ष्मणं तत्र दुःखितो दुःखितं वचः ॥२०॥
20. sāntvayitvā tu tāṃ rāmo rudantīṃ janakātmajām ,
uvāca lakṣmaṇaṃ tatra duḥkhito duḥkhitaṃ vacaḥ.

uvāca lakṣmaṇam tatra duḥkhitaḥ duḥkhitam vacaḥ
20. tu rāmaḥ duḥkhitaḥ rudantīm tām janakātmajām

20. But Rāma, having consoled that weeping daughter of Janaka, then, himself distressed, spoke sorrowful words to Lakṣmaṇa there.
