त्रिलाभे वा त्रिकोणे वा तदा राजा न संशयः ॥२३॥

23. lagnārūḍhaṃ dārapadaṃ mithaḥ kendra sthitaṃ yadi .

If the `ārūḍha` of the ascendant (lagnārūḍha) and the `ārūḍha` of the 7th house (dārapada) are mutually situated in an angular (kendra) house, or in the 3rd and 11th houses, or in a trine (trikoṇa) house, then a king is certainly born; there is no doubt (saṃśaya) about it.
