महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-4, verse-17

तथा विवसनां दीनां स्मरन्त्यद्यापि पाण्डवाः ।
न निवारयितुं शक्याः संग्रामात्ते परंतपाः ॥१७॥
17. tathā vivasanāṁ dīnāṁ smarantyadyāpi pāṇḍavāḥ ,
na nivārayituṁ śakyāḥ saṁgrāmātte paraṁtapāḥ.
17. tathā vivasanām dīnām smaranti adya api pāṇḍavāḥ
na nivārayitum śakyāḥ saṃgrāmāt te paraṃtapāḥ
17. tathā te pāṇḍavāḥ paraṃtapāḥ vivasanām dīnām (kṛṣṇām) adya api smaranti.
(ataḥ) saṃgrāmāt nivārayitum na śakyāḥ (bhavanti)
17. Therefore, the Pāṇḍavas, those tormentors of enemies, remembering her, unclothed and pitiable, even today, cannot be prevented from engaging in battle.
