महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-37, verse-41

एवमुक्त्वा मुनिश्रेष्ठं महादेवेन धीमता ।
अङ्गुल्यग्रेण राजेन्द्र स्वाङ्गुष्ठस्ताडितोऽभवत् ॥४१॥
41. evamuktvā muniśreṣṭhaṁ mahādevena dhīmatā ,
aṅgulyagreṇa rājendra svāṅguṣṭhastāḍito'bhavat.

41. rājendra,

41. O king (rājendra), having spoken thus to the foremost (śreṣṭha) of sages, his own thumb was struck by the intelligent Mahādeva with the tip of his finger.
