महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-37, verse-11

वर्तमाने तथा यज्ञे पुष्करस्थे पितामहे ।
अब्रुवन्नृषयो राजन्नायं यज्ञो महाफलः ।
न दृश्यते सरिच्छ्रेष्ठा यस्मादिह सरस्वती ॥११॥
11. vartamāne tathā yajñe puṣkarasthe pitāmahe ,
abruvannṛṣayo rājannāyaṁ yajño mahāphalaḥ ,
na dṛśyate saricchreṣṭhā yasmādiha sarasvatī.

ayam yajñaḥ mahāphalaḥ na dṛśyate

11. O King, while that Vedic ritual (yajña) was in progress, and the Grandfather (Brahma) was situated in Puṣkara, the sages said, 'This Vedic ritual (yajña) will not bear great fruit, because the best of rivers, Sarasvatī, is not seen here.'
