महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-27, verse-45

स सौबलमभिद्रुत्य गृध्रपत्रैः शिलाशितैः ।
भृशमभ्यहनत्क्रुद्धस्तोत्त्रैरिव महाद्विपम् ॥४५॥
45. sa saubalamabhidrutya gṛdhrapatraiḥ śilāśitaiḥ ,
bhṛśamabhyahanatkruddhastottrairiva mahādvipam.
45. saḥ saubalam abhidrutya gṛdhrapatraiḥ śilāśitaiḥ
bhṛśam abhyahanat kruddhaḥ tottraiḥ iva mahādvipam
45. kruddhaḥ saḥ,
saubalam abhidrutya,
śilāśitaiḥ gṛdhrapatraiḥ,
tottraiḥ iva mahādvipam,
bhṛśam abhyahanat.
45. Enraged, he (Sahadeva), having rushed towards Shakuni (Saubala), struck him intensely with his stone-sharpened, vulture-feathered arrows, just as one would strike a great elephant with goads.
