महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-162, verse-5

ते रात्रौ कृतकर्माणः श्रान्ताः सूर्यस्य तेजसा ।
क्षुत्पिपासापरीताङ्गा विसंज्ञा बहवोऽभवन् ॥५॥
5. te rātrau kṛtakarmāṇaḥ śrāntāḥ sūryasya tejasā ,
kṣutpipāsāparītāṅgā visaṁjñā bahavo'bhavan.

5. Many of them, who had performed their actions (karma) during the night, became exhausted by the sun's (sūrya) intense heat (tejas). Their bodies overcome by hunger and thirst, they became senseless.
