महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-146, verse-30

अथेतरान्महेष्वासांस्त्रिभिस्त्रिभिरविध्यत ।
संवार्य तान्बाणगणैर्युधि राजन्धनंजयः ।
अवधीत्तावकान्योधान्वज्रपाणिरिवासुरान् ॥३०॥
30. athetarānmaheṣvāsāṁstribhistribhiravidhyata ,
saṁvārya tānbāṇagaṇairyudhi rājandhanaṁjayaḥ ,
avadhīttāvakānyodhānvajrapāṇirivāsurān.

avidhyata saṃvārya tān bāṇagaṇaiḥ
yudhi rājan dhanaṃjayaḥ avadhīt

30. atha rājan dhanaṃjayaḥ yudhi tān itarān maheṣvāsān bāṇagaṇaiḥ saṃvārya tribhiḥ tribhiḥ avidhyata,
vajrapāṇiḥ iva asurān tāvakān yodhān avadhīt
30. Then, O King, Dhanañjaya (Arjuna), in battle, having warded off those other great archers with volleys of arrows, pierced each of them with three arrows, and then slew your warriors, just as the thunderbolt-wielding (Vajrapāṇi) (Indra) slays the asuras.
