महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-118, verse-17

शरानास्तीर्य सव्येन पाणिना पुण्यलक्षणः ।
यियासुर्ब्रह्मलोकाय प्राणान्प्राणेष्वथाजुहोत् ॥१७॥
17. śarānāstīrya savyena pāṇinā puṇyalakṣaṇaḥ ,
yiyāsurbrahmalokāya prāṇānprāṇeṣvathājuhot.

17. Endowed with auspicious marks, he spread out arrows with his left hand. Then, desiring to attain the world of Brahman (brahmaloka), he offered his vital breaths (prāṇa) into the universal life forces.
