नियतस्य तु संन्यासः कर्मणो नोपपद्यते ।
मोहात्तस्य परित्यागस्तामसः परिकीर्तितः ॥७॥

7. However, the renunciation (saṃnyāsa) of an obligatory action (karma) is not appropriate. The abandonment of such action (karma) due to delusion is declared to be of the nature of ignorance (tāmasa).
