महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-13, verse-20

देशांस्तत्र प्रवक्ष्यामि तन्मे निगदतः शृणु ।
क्रौञ्चस्य कुशलो देशो वामनस्य मनोनुगः ॥२०॥
20. deśāṁstatra pravakṣyāmi tanme nigadataḥ śṛṇu ,
krauñcasya kuśalo deśo vāmanasya manonugaḥ.
20. deśān tatra pravakṣyāmi tat me nigadataḥ śṛṇu
| krauñcasya kuśalaḥ deśaḥ vāmanasya manonugaḥ
20. tatra deśān pravakṣyāmi tat me nigadataḥ śṛṇu krauñcasya deśaḥ kuśalaḥ,
vāmanasya manonugaḥ.
20. I shall now describe the regions; listen to me as I speak of that. The region of Krauñca is prosperous, and that of Vāmana is pleasing to the mind.
