आप्तो दूतः संजय सुप्रियोऽसि कल्याणवाक्शीलवान्दृष्टिमांश्च ।
न मुह्येस्त्वं संजय जातु मत्या न च क्रुध्येरुच्यमानोऽपि तथ्यम् ॥४॥

Sanjaya, you are a reliable messenger, very dear to us, eloquent with auspicious speech, of good character, and insightful. O Sanjaya, your intellect (mati) is never deluded, and you do not become angry even when truth is spoken to you.
