गान्धारराजः शकुनिः पार्वतीयो निकर्तने योऽद्वितीयोऽक्षदेवी ।
मानं कुर्वन्धार्तराष्ट्रस्य सूत मिथ्याबुद्धेः कुशलं तात पृच्छेः ॥२७॥
27. gāndhārarājaḥ śakuniḥ pārvatīyo; nikartane yo'dvitīyo'kṣadevī ,
mānaṁ kurvandhārtarāṣṭrasya sūta; mithyābuddheḥ kuśalaṁ tāta pṛccheḥ.

27. O charioteer, you should inquire about the well-being of Shakuni, the king of Gandhara, who hails from the mountains, who is unrivaled in deception and dice-playing, and who, with his foolish intellect, shows deference to Dhritarashtra's son (Duryodhana).
