महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-128, verse-45

अनेन हि हता बाल्ये पूतना शिशुना तथा ।
गोवर्धनो धारितश्च गवार्थे भरतर्षभ ॥४५॥
45. anena hi hatā bālye pūtanā śiśunā tathā ,
govardhano dhāritaśca gavārthe bharatarṣabha.

govardhanaḥ dhāritaḥ ca gavārthe bharatarṣabha
45. bharatarṣabha,
anena śiśunā bālye pūtanā hi hatā,
tathā gavārthe govardhanaḥ ca dhāritaḥ.
45. O best among the Bharatas (bharatarṣabha), this child indeed killed Putana (pūtanā) in his childhood, and also, for the sake of the cows, Govardhana (govardhana) was lifted.
